new home

I've been getting a bit vexed working in the current shop, it's a small place and the parts side is taking over so I've been left with a tiny place to work on bikes and it's twisting my melon. I've known of this place for a long time and finally the time was right and it's mine. what you see here is the upstairs, it has a few rooms downstairs but the upstairs is beautiful and huge, the best thing about it is that it is set into a hill so there is a side door that leads straight upstairs so I can wheel bikes straight in upstairs.

I am going to like it here, it is a 17th century mill in a beautiful English village.

messing about

while I'm waiting for my honda frame I decided I really missed the ironhead, they are so much fun, I had a rumage aound in the (very cramped) shop and found some bits that had been hanging around for a while and decided to put another one together, early Paughco frame and a wassell tank. those are 10" overs in the stock rake frame.. it sits pretty well. this bike will probably be for sale after i've put a few miles on it. those are y favourite grips, I've had them for ages and I think this is the bike they will stay on. More pics soon.. maybe

ironhead

heres a pic of the ironhead all finished, zip looks a bit like Zoot from the muppet show.

The ironhead is used daily and is ridden hard

so ive been busy working and stuff, the ironhead has been done for sometime and is the nuts although I'm craving for something shiny again and with all this vintage harley stuff going on I've decided to build a digger.. or at least a digger styled bike and it's going to be a ... honda

I picked up an early santee prismic tank ages ago and thats was my starting point.

I'll post some pictures up of where Ive got to so far which is pretty much just a collection of parts but I should be getting a frame together sometime over the next few weeks.

I'll put some pics of the ironhead up as well... but you may have seen it on other blogs...... is anybody reading this? i dont know

not much to do now

Motor in, forwards done, seat done, just got to mount the oil tank and get the proper back wheel one and rig up the rear brake.
I've put a disc on the front for the moment which I'm not really happy with but I already had the disc, caliper, line and shit lying around so it was all put to use.. plus it will be a nice change to be able to stop.

moving along

got some bits and bobs done, my mate made me a sissy bar but it was too wide so I narrowed it and shortened it a bit at the bottom so it

sits a bit closer to the tyre. got some rear pegs mounted and bodged some forwards together out of various bits.

I've switched back to the original bars, reckon they need to be on dogbones, still not decided on bars just yet.

Got my proper rear wheel laced up and also managed to score a really cheap 35 mm front end with 7/8th stem, so that will save a bit of work. I'll hopefull get round to picking my motor up over the next few weeks.
